








Audrey Pilkington (1922-2015) - Lady in a Cap
Artist, painter, collagist, designer, printmaker, illustrator, and teacher, Audrey Pilkington was born on the Yorkshire–Lancashire border. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art between 1941 and 1943, where her tutors included William Roberts. During this time, she also produced illustrations for Vogue. Pilkington went on to exhibit widely throughout the United Kingdom, as well as in Italy and Germany, and her work is represented in numerous private and public collections.
